TRAGER MICROFOREST

The Trager Microforest is a small park in the heart of downtown Lousiville. The Envirome Institute at Univeristy of Louisville aims to breathe more life into the area, as well as encourage the “citizen scientist” mindset. Grouped up with three other designers, Gabrielle Stark, Sierra Bassi, and Piper Clark, we set out to create a system that encouraged inclusivity, color, and the citizen scientist.

My role, within this project, was to build up a campaign that could be used to encourage the citizen scientist goal the Envirome Institute aims for. I settled on biodegradable seed packets that could be used to encourage more green spaces within homes.

In addition, I had a minor focus in signage. To play off the small, take-home seed packets, a popsicle stick with the bare-bones information needed to grow a plant at home, including sunlight, temperature, and water needs.
